Emperor Apnea

Equalization Trainer

Ventus

Equalization is the skill that decides how deep you can go. Ventus lets you train it on land, one nostril at a time, so the technique is second nature before you ever hit the water.

Its one-handed shape gives you a secure seal at the nostril with your thumb, while your index finger stays free to close the other side. Exhale through the nose, watch the balloon fill, and build control of the Frenzel maneuver and other equalization techniques with every breath.

Built for one hand

Your thumb holds Ventus against one nostril and your index finger closes the other. Switch hands to train the other side.

See your progress

A replaceable balloon fits on the base and fills as you exhale, so you can see how steady and controlled each breath is.

03

Easy to keep clean

Rinse with warm water, clean with 70% isopropyl alcohol, and fit a fresh balloon before each session.

How to use it

  1. Fit the balloon

Stretch its opening over the groove on the base of Ventus until it sits securely and isn't twisted.

  2. Seal

Right nostril, right hand: thumb on the front of Ventus, pressed gently against the nostril, with your index finger closing the left nostril.

  3. Exhale

Breathe out slowly and steadily through your nose until the balloon is full. Keep the device upright.

  4. Switch sides

Mirror the steps with your left hand for the left nostril.

In the box

Ventus and 1 balloon.

Care

Discard the balloon after each session. Rinse Ventus with warm water, clean it with 70% isopropyl alcohol, and let it dry completely before storing or fitting a new balloon. Keep it away from heat and direct sunlight, and check it before each use. Don't use it if it's cracked, damaged or no longer seals.
